What is a Good Death?

I’m pretty sure not many people think about that as they go through their day. I think we all secretly hope we just “pass” in our sleep. Or we’re in complete denial that we’re going to do it. Maybe not thinking about it keeps the “evil spirits” away, I don’t know.

However, some don’t have a choice and must face it head-on. If you or someone you know is going through this, it might be essential to know a few things, such as:

*Have an understanding of what to expect

*Have some control pain relief and other symptoms

*Be able to choose where death occurs and how it happens

*Have a sense of dignity

*How to deal with regret and forgiveness

*How to create the space for saying goodbye

*How to have your wishes respected

There are people trained to provide a compassionate presence and continuous guidance through your journey, whether it is me or someone else.

We only have one chance to have an end-of-life experience go well. The first step is reducing the fear of dying because, after all, we are all 100% going to do it.
